I’m thrilled to share something close to my heart with you today—a project that captures a piece of my journey, the moments of stillness, and the sense of connection I’m still learning to build with my new home.
"I don’t regret anything I’ve ever done in life, any choice that I’ve made. But I’m consumed with regret for the things I didn’t do, the choices I didn’t make, the things I didn’t say… Failure is an answer. Rejection is an answer. Regret is an eternal question you will never have the answer to."— Trevor Noah, Born a Crime
This quote is a powerful reminder of why I chose to document this journey through photography. Moving to a new place, distant from loved ones, has brought challenges, but also the opportunity to connect with my surroundings in ways I might never have otherwise. Through Shutter Therapy, I’ve found a way to let go of hesitation, open up, and document each moment, letting my lens be a tool to face life head-on.
Shutter Therapy isn’t just about photography—it’s a way of addressing the “what ifs” by capturing the here and now, allowing my camera to guide me into each new experience. I hope my story encourages you to open up to the world around you and, in doing so, perhaps prevent some of those lingering questions that regret can leave behind.
A collaborative effort 🤝🏿
This project wouldn’t have been possible without a few talented people who joined me on this journey:
Thevin brought my vision to life through video, capturing moments in a way that made them feel even more honest.
Wingsdiary crafted a soundscape that draws you in, adding another layer of experience to the imagery.
And then there’s me, managing it all, striving to bring together these creative elements into something cohesive and meaningful.
